Program Description:

The educational program at Orange Cross Ambulance Service is designed to fulfill paramedic level training requirements for recertification / renewal.

Upon completion of the program, employees will have satisfied all requirements for recertification by the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians, and / or licensure renewal with the State of Wisconsin at the EMT-Paramedic level.

The programs goal is to minimize the number of hours employees spend reviewing previously covered material, and maximize the number of certifications / course completions that can be obtained within the scheduled time frame.

Program Plan:

Program content has also been structured to satisfy an employee’s requirements from a company, state, and national standard paramedic refresher curriculum perspective. Course completions in CPR, ACLS, and PEPP are standard components of the program.

Currently the program is coordinated by Orange Cross Ambulance Service, Lakeshore Technical College, St. Nicholas Hospital, and Aurora Sheboygan Memorial Medical Center.

Numerous teaching formats, materials, and principles are utilized.
